Be yourself!!!

Well it has been quite a long time I updated my blog. Hectic schedule and moribund pedagogy were the biggest contributors in this regard. From past few weeks many thoughts struck my mind. But the one which intrigued me to type these words the most is that it has become so tough being oneself. Originality recedes with entry of selfish interests. Yes I feel so!!! Do we really do things that we want to do?? Never! Why? No one knows!! Rousseau today would be rejoicing in his grave. For “man is born free, but he is everywhere in chains.” These chains have forged such an unbreakable nexus that vicious circle of smugness seems to be the only available resort. Being a young man, I will just like to share what I feel about ‘us’? These are my thoughts and democracy provides the right to disagree!

Spontaneity seems an illusion today. Everything is manipulated right from words to smile to every expression coming on the human face. Are we really developing? I don’t find any such traits. Can we think like the great savants of the past who did not fear to discuss, who did not fear to propagate their ideas and views? No we can’t. Mechanization has had a great toll on our thinking capacity. Swami Vivekanand always emphasized on the development of the capacity of ‘thinking’. Education sans thinking is nothing more than a body without life. Everyone is so happy in his comfort zone that nothing matters more than self. Service above self is nothing more than halcyon. Materialism and cut throat competition has extinguished the ability of a person to appreciate positivity existing in other person.

Majority of youths getting the education have lost capacity to think outside the confines of notes and marks. ‘Rank’ today matters more than human sentiments. This anomaly can be owed to the faulty education system. The role of ‘students’ cannot be ignored. One cannot clap with one hand. Student in present is specie which has unmatchable attribute of cramming sans application of thought. Tendency to learn has been grossly superseded to prove one superior. And that is why problems like underemployment, depression and dissatisfaction are in vogue. The garb of pseudo happiness cannot shield a person from the reality. A pseudo existence is always ephemeral. Isn’t it??? Yes, it is!!!

And if we see the people not getting education they are happy in their ignorance.

Self esteem is not a virtue today. ‘Connections’ are more important than talent. Hypocrisy along with sycophancy is guarantee of success. There are many reasons for the stimulation of such behavior. But has human become so weak that such crap baseless entities are obstructing him to realize his real self? Not at all! Just try to be yourself once. And then realize the difference in your existence. Learn to exist and shun surviving. May be happiness is waiting for all of us to unveil our real self.
