I matter no more

The lines on your body
Were written by my touch,
When you will grow old
The wrinkles on your cheek
Will be relic of early morn caress
Which I could only do once.

Oh dear! You chose to leave me
Like the winter Sun
Little warm little unsatisfied
The sultry glint of your eyes
Still exists as embers in my heart
I wish I could smell you once.

Your messages on my old phone
Smell like wilted flowers
My given name
Might be echoing in your ears too
My parched land of expectations
Waits for your succulent voice.

I always knew you will never be mine
Still I fell for your earthly charm
I lost all and gained none
For which I harbour no qualm
You told I am too good to be with you
Oh dear! I still miss you.

I can’t present you a diamond ring
But can make you fly on lovely wing
Write songs that you may sing
You chose to sail ocean of world
Leaving me alone on the shore
When will I believe I matter no more!
