Wish you all a very Happy Mahashivratri!! Right from my childhood I have always been fascinated by the character of lord Shiva. There is something unique in him which provides a sense of assurance and confidence upon thinking of him. Bam Bam Bhole!! However the irony lies in the fact that he is said to be the mighty destroyer. Why? How can ascetic like him has to assume this responsibility? This question has always plagued my mind since childhood. Watching various mythological serials provided me the information about him, but the actual reasons behind them are unfolding to me with advancement of my age and mind. Its all his PREROGATIVE!! A prerogative which he exercises to nullify the special rights exercised by the so called esteemed people who assume it nonchalantly. He exercises this prerogative of destruction so as to balance the negativities existing in this world, by giving chance to novelty. Negativities which have the potential to uplift the undesired and vanquish the desired.
May the day come soon when the prerogative descends to give chance to equality because even those who otherwise vie for equality breed nepotism on gaining power. Sad state of affairs! May lord Shiva obliterate it eternally!!
